Ahlul Bayt News Agency, More than 150 US actors, writers, and directors signed a letter drafted by an American organization known as the Jewish Voice for Peace.
The move came after a group of Israeli artists, actors and academics announced last month that they would boycott performances at the Ariel cultural center in the West Bank as a symbol of their opposition to continued Israeli settlement constructions.
The letter praised "the brave decision not to perform in Ariel."
"They made a wonderful decision and they deserve the respect of people everywhere who dream of justice. We stand with them," according to the letter.
The names on the letter included British Oscar-winning actress and activist Vanessa Redgrave, actress Cynthia Nixon and playwright Tony Kushner.
